Elementary School

Kindergarten
In Raleigh Christian Academy’s kindergarten program, students learn in a wholesome environment. Using the phonics approach, students at RCA are given the most essential component in learning-the ability to read. Christian values and character are taught by caring teachers. Get ready to watch your child excel in a safe, structured academic program. You’ll be amazed and impressed with how much your child will learn.

Using the nationally recognized ABeka Curriculum, RCA’s kindergarten students are taught the skill of cursive writing. In math, students acquire skills to count up to one hundred. Adding, subtracting, telling time, recognizing and counting money are skills every kindergarten student learns. Kindergarteners also study in the areas of social studies and science. Daily Bible lessons are taught in such a way as to reach the heart of every kindergarten student and to build character. The education and training that your kindergarten student will receive at Raleigh Christian Academy will set a foundation for a lifetime of learning.

Grades 1-5
Raleigh Christian Academy’s elementary school grades form the basis for a solid academic foundation. The students receive a firm grasp on the essentials to help them be successful on the next level. Students enjoy learning in a traditional classroom setting focused on the basics and enhanced by educational games and hands-on activities. RCA’s teachers also assume the responsibility of training students spiritually, emotionally, morally, and intellectually.

Each day begins with Bible class to set the tone for the day. That time is followed by daily instruction emphasizing the areas of math, phonics/ language, spelling, and handwriting, as well as health, history, and science. Students attend weekly special activities in the areas of music, art, technology, physical education, and library. Raleigh Christian Academy strives to lead children to Christ, build them up in Christ, and equip them to serve Christ.

Middle School

The transitional middle school years are vitally important in the development of every young person. With the beginning of adolescence, students need the security and encouragement that Raleigh Christian Academy offers. Academically, students will be challenged and prepared for senior high school by taking courses that are intense-yet geared for the average student.

Whether it is spiritually, academically, and socially, everything is done in such a way as to prepare students for the secondary level. Students will have an opportunity to enroll in the academy’s popular accelerated math program. Middle school is also a time when students can participate in interscholastic athletics. Students experience changing classes when they reach middle school, as well hallway lockers and field trips. With the academy’s advanced curriculum, students also tackle science projects, research projects, take computer classes, and enjoy physical education daily.
